About the Role

The Director of IT oversees the EDI, telephone, and network systems, in addition to supporting the ERP system, and managing vendor contracts. She/He is also responsible for managing customer service to ensure overall customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the order to cash (OTC) process which includes order processing, picking and shipping products, invoicing, and receipt of payment.

  • Manages the maintenance of all IT related devices such as computers, laptops, tablets, printers, etc.

  • Conducts daily audits of the system to ensure proper functionality.

  • Manages projects such as EDI, implementations, server replacements, and upgrades.

  • Develops custom code and programs as needed to support users.

  • Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of staff, equipment, and procedures.

  • Makes certain daily reporting from customer service is completed.

  • Provides weekly status updates on projects to leadership.

  • Generates quotes for replacement systems of all IT devices.

  • Oversees vendor contracts to maintain compliance.

  • Approves invoices for IT billings.

  • Administers the company telephone system, managing the contract, following up on issues, and providing support.

  • Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; reviews requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.

  • Attends and contributes to weekly staff meetings.

  • Owns the IT ticketing system to ensure resolutions are happening timely.

  • Researches and maintains system security levels to minimize risk and prevent cyberattacks.


Required Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 as well as ERP software (QAD, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar systems)

  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Resilient with a positive attitude

  • Self-motivated and solid work ethic

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent training and experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in a technical role

  • At least 8 years of management experience
